Before I highlight a few differences in training between a beginner and a more advanced surfer and even PROs, I would like to point out 2 things.
a) Training is always personalised, even via the app and
b) There are 3 options how training can take place.

any combination that works for you…
BEGINNERS
Fitness : Nutrition: Video Analysis
For beginners and even the complete novice, S&C+Nutrition is about improving balance, stamina, agility, whole body strength, paddle power, posture, fitness and in some cases weight loss.
Would you “just turn up” to a swimming gala if you haven’t been swimming or, to a marathon event if you haven’t been running? Surfing should be treated the same way!

WEEKEND WORRIER
If you are a “Weekend Worrier” you should be training during the week and you should be training at least 2x per week. Let’s say you don’t surf one weekend due to commitments or it is just flat… it could be 15 days till your next pad
dle out and that is just far too long without surfing.
For those who only surf weekends, or once every 10 days or so, you never have the chance to become stronger or fitter, because there is no enough “stimulus” for your body to change. Our body must be challenged with the right intensity + duration + frequency!

INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED & COMPETITIVE
S&C+Nutrition for the Intermediate, Advanced and Competitive Surfer is about improving power on manoeuvres and the ability to be consistent in completing them and with style. This is a major game changer for a competitive surfer, consistency is a must, specially when you need that “score”.
Being able to land an air at times that matters the most, or finish that 12 o’clock snap under the lip with an air drop and under pressure is the difference between winning or losing!
